Carrefour; Ready to Eat Pears – Rolled out from September 2015

The Opportunity

To extend the freshness and quality of their ‘ripe and ready to eat’ pears and reduce store waste.

The Approach

Following on from indications of waste savings in a small 12 week trial in 2014, Carrefour expanded testing into all stores during 2015.

The Outcome

Carrefour experienced waste reductions of 41%in the expanded all-store testing.
They published these successful results on their website for a sustained period.
